Website redesign questions
Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
Not if it's planned properly. We keep your pages where they are when we can, point any old links at the new pages, and carry across the wording that ranks. Expect a few weeks of movement while Google re-crawls the site. Nobody can honestly promise you a position on Google, and we won't.
Do I need a full redesign or just a refresh?
If the site works on a phone and you can update it, new words and photos may be enough. If it's broken or locked away, starting again usually costs less than patching it. The free audit will tell you which.
Can you reuse my existing content and photos?
Yes. Good photos of real jobs and wording that already brings in enquiries are worth keeping. We rewrite the rest.
My web designer has disappeared. Can you still help?
Usually. First we find out who holds the domain and the hosting. If the domain is in the old builder's name, we'll help you get it transferred to you.
Can I keep my domain name and email?
Yes. Your domain stays in your name, and we plan the switch so your email keeps working on launch day.
How much does a website redesign cost?
